The Hong Kong Open, one of the leading professional golf tournaments in Asia and one of the most important sports events in Hong Kong is gearing up to celebrate its 50th birthday this November. First held in 1959, the Open is Hong Kong's oldest professional sporting event and is considered one of the 'jewels in the crown' of Asian golf. It is one of the 'must-attend' events in Hong Kong.
This is one of the Major Sports Events in Hong Kong recognized by the Major Sports Events Committee.
