Hi,
Can you please tell me about the options of going from HK to Guangzhou and back by train. How does it work? how much? how long?

Trains HK <-> Guangzhou
MTR runs a line between Hung Hom in Hong Kong and East Train Station in Guangzhou.

Takes about 2 hours.
If you want you can take the regular MTR to Luohu in Shenzhen and change to a train to take you to Guangzhou East station. The trains from Shenzhen to Guanghzou leave every 15-25 minutes, cost about 75RMB one way and takes between 48-68 minutes.
